Mauel Named National Associate of the Academies

Michael Mauel, Professor of Applied Physics, has been named a "National Associate of the Academies" by the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).

Since 2001, “the NAS president designates individuals for this special lifetime honor under guidelines established by the Academies' Governing Board.” The honor recognizes Prof. Mauel's service as co-chair of a NAS committee and as chair of the standing committee for plasma science.
