Tanmay Gupta
Undergraduate Student
Tanmay is a second-year undergraduate Science Research Fellow at Columbia, studying physics and mathematics. He is passionate about advancing nuclear fusion's role in providing a sustainable source of energy. Outside of his academic interests, he enjoys organizing the Columbia University Science Olympiad Invitational, spending time outside, and playing the saxophone.
Research Focus: Tanmay's current research with Dr. Matthew Beidler from Oak Ridge National Laboratory focuses on developing a full orbit model of runaway electron beams in the NIMROD MHD code.
