Via (Sarah) Weber

REU Student

Via is pursuing her second Bachelors Degree in Mathematics at Winston Salem State University. Via holds her first Bachelors degree in Astrophysics from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. This summer, she will be working with Dr. Logan on Data Based Acceleration of 3D Stability and Perturbed Equilibrium Calculations in Tokamak Plasmas. Her other research interests include population modeling of high-end mass gap compact binary coalescence blackhole candidates in GWTC-4.0, as well as studying parameters of fault tolerant zero forcing in graph theory. She plans on pursuing theoretical astrophysics in her graduate studies. In her free time she enjoys reading, video games, and weightlifting.
