Samuel Freiberger
Graduate Student
Samuel joined the applied physics PhD program in 2023 after finishing his B.A. in Physics and Applied Mathematics at Columbia University. He has been working with the plasma lab since fall 2021 and is currently researching the application of data-driven model reduction techniques, such as dynamic mode decomposition, to nonlinear physical systems including astrophysical accretion disks and reconnecting current sheets. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing tennis, and exploring New York’s parks.
