Sam Prausnitz-Weinbaum

REU Student

Sam is an undergraduate student at Stanford studying physics.

This summer, he’s working with Dr. Levesque to upgrade the HBT-EP tokamak with 3D shaping coils to convert it to a tokomak-stellerator hybrid.

At Stanford, his research involves searching for a theoretical type of dark matter called Axions with a detector called a haloscope.

Outside of the lab, Sam loves woodworking, ballet, boba, and his small white dog, Cooper.
