Undergraduate Student
Maddox is an undergraduate student at Columbia College in the class of 2027. He is pursuing a double major in Physics and History. Previously, he conducted research at the DIII-D National Fusion Facility on magnetohydrodynamic instabilities. Outside of fusion, he enjoys reading, movies, traveling, and museums.
Research focus: Summer 2026, he is manufacturing and installing coils for the HBT-EP tokamak-stellarator hybrid upgrade.
