Dylan Schmeling
Undergraduate Student
Dylan is a fourth year undergraduate student at Columbia pursuing a degree in applied physics. He plans to pursue a graduate degree in plasma physics and is interested in working on applying high-temperature superconductors to plasma physics experiments. Outside of the lab, Dylan is an avid photographer and a keen cyclist.
Research focus: Dylan currently works on designing the non-planar coils of the Columbia Stellarator Experiment (CSX) and the necessary diagnostics, under Mel Russo with guidance from Professor Paz-Soldan and Professor Paul.
