Adriana Ghiozzi

Adriana Ghiozzi joined the Columbia Fusion Research Center in summer 2026. Her current research focuses on integrated modeling of tokamak fusion power plants, including both code development and optimization studies.

Prior to joining Columbia, Adriana was a member of the Theory Group at General Atomics, where she was a core developer of the FUSE framework, as well as the Fusion Group at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where she studied Alfvénic activity in the TJ-II stellarator.

She holds an M.Sc. from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in High Energy Physics where her thesis research focused on potential new physics solutions to observed leptonic magnetic moment anomalies. 

Adriana is an advocate for those pursuing a non-traditional path through fusion research, and is passionate about outreach and scientific communication. Outside of work she enjoys rock climbing, gymnastics, and studying languages
