Undergraduate Student
Lan is an undergraduate student at Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), majoring in Electrical Engineering. She is currently involved in research at the Plasma Physics Lab, contributing to the pellet ablation experiment by building a circuit for electron-beam triggering.
This summer, she will continue her fusion research at the DIII-D National Fusion Facility at General Atomics, focusing on the quasi-continuous exhaust regime in tokamaks. Previously, she interned at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where she developed a capacitor dump system for the flashlamp testing facility at the National Ignition Facility.
