Vikram Ailiani
Undergraduate Student
Vikram is a senior undergrad majoring in applied physics, with an intended minor in applied math. His research interests are in plasma and fluid dynamics, and his current project is an assessment of the Consistent Automatic Kinetic Equilibrium (CAKE) code. Previously, he’s worked on finding well-fitting basis functions to describe the poloidally asymmetric magnetic field at the DIII-D wall. He has also investigated the potential use of plasma impedance probes (PIPs) for measuring resonant ion responses to input field fluctuations, at the Naval Research Laboratory. In his free time, Vikram enjoys playing piano and marimba.
